I don't know about shutting down the PC version, but there were rumors for a while that they were going to make a mobile version.

And I don't mean a watered down, alternate version of FF11, I mean they were literally going to bring FF11 wholesale to be made somehow playable on modern phones and tablets and it would even crossplay with the PC version (just as the PlayStation and XBox versions did back in the day).

But the last I heard of that rumor was years ago, so either it's been abandoned or was never true to begin with (as rumors often are).

My parents pretty much treated me like a pet, and servant, one they specifically trained to be dependent on them to the point it's left me psychologically crippled.

Man, I've had the worse luck with pre-registered games so far, the last three all turned out to be incompatible with my phone.

And I'm not even sure how or why, as none of them seemed all that complicated or flashy looking, unless it's just a case of the developers being too lazy to make the games more device friendly (in which case good luck making/keeping a stable playerbase when most people can't play your damn app).

Reminds me of how I got fucked out of playing Shin Megami Tensei after that one update way back in summer that suddenly made my phone (and Nox Player) unable to run it.

I'm only just now getting into an MMO with races (FFXIV) and I don't understand what you're supposed to do if they drop a new race - do you have to make a new character or is there an item you can buy to reroll your character to the new race?

Actually same with ESO, they release a new class, you gotta start fucking all over to play it?

In the case of FFXIV you use an item called Phial of Fantasia to redo the appearance of your character including race.

Aren't you allowed to design your Retainers as well? I recall somebody telling me that was one way they played around with other races without committing to making a whole new alt.

Something I feel like Star Wars hasn't made as clear as it should be is if dark and light are intrinsically tied to the Sith and the Jedi (that by allying with one or the other you can't cross the dark/light divide period). If they're separate (and simply encourage the emotions and training tied to one side or the other in order to maximize its effectiveness) then it's possible to be a Dark Jedi (or someone who misuses light side powers to drive hatred and fear).

Dunno how it is in the "canon" Star Wars universe, but in something like SWTOR (a part of the old EU/Legends), it's entirely possible to be a dark side Jedi or light side Sith. Suffice to say, plenty of NPCs (including your own followers) can find it very confusing and/or shocking at times.
